  • Higashi district still has a mysterious special atmosphere; already a long time it is the party and entertainment neighborhood where geisha's make the atmosphere with music and dance. Also so-called Chaya houses can be found here, characterized by their special roster-pattern on the first floor. Several of them are converted into restaurants or traditional teahouses. (In Kyoto is the Gion geisha district; bigger but less authentic).
  • Kenroku-en, one of the top-3 landscape gardens in Japan. Visit also its 17th century villa Seisonkaku, built by the Madea clan.
  • Oyama-jinja shrine is worth visiting, the interesting Buddhist temple Ninjadera can only be visited with a guided tour completely in Japanese.
